UFSM - A pupil is no longer entitled to UFSM but they are still displaying as purple in Dinners - why is this?

Useful Information

A pupil's Universal Free School Meal status should update automatically during the Academic Year End Process.

If you have completed the Academic Year End Process and there is still a problem, carry out the following (ensure your MIS is updated with the same data to avoid any changes being overwritten during a future import)

UFSM - A pupil is no longer entitled to UFSM but they are still displaying as purple in Dinners - why is this?

To ensure that a pupil is no longer showing as entitled to Universal Free School Meals in SCO, carry out the following:

1. Change the Pupil's Year Group

  1. Click on the Configuration tab

  2. Click on Account configuration

  3. Click on Pupils

  4. Check that their Year group is correct
    (if this shows as 0, 1 or 2 they will automatically be entitled to UFSM)

  5. Update the Class too if necessary

  6. Click on Done



2. Overtype any Meals already entered

  1. Click on the Dinners tab

  2. Locate the pupil

  3. Ensure their name is no longer displayed in purple

  4. Overtype any meal codes entered in purple

  5. The meal codes will change to black and the pupil's balance will update accordingly
