Useful Information

The Dynamic Link to SIMS.net is a chargeable module for which your school will need to purchase a license.
The link only works with the locally installed version of SIMS, not the centrally-hosted version.

Steps to set up the Dynamic Link to SIMS.net with SCO

(Follow the steps below and use your browser’s Back button to return to this page after you complete each step)

  1. Check you are on the latest version of SCO

  2. Check you are licensed for the Dynamic Link to MIS System

  3. Check you have SIMS.net installed locally
    To enable to the link to work, SIMS.net must be installed on the PC you wish to use for the dynamic link

  4. Assign a user to the relevant SIMS.net groups

  5. Set the Pupil and Staff IDs

  6. Set the MIS Link Type

  7. Enter the SIMS Username, Password and Establishment Number

  8. Set the SIMS Import Types

  9. Set up the MIS Data Imports
