Parents' Evening User Permissions
Useful Information
Before you start configuring and using the Parents’ Evening module you must check that all users have access to SCO with the correct permission set.
Refer to the table below to see how the permissions affect user privileges.
Parents' Evening User Permissions
To add brand new SCO Users (Admin staff or Teachers), first refer to this section Add New SCO Users
Login to Schools Cash Office
Click on the Configuration tab
Select User configuration
Click Add to add a new user or select a User and then click Modify
Click Edit User group (for more detail see User Groups - Create or Modify)
Click Add
For Admin staff who need access to parents evening configuration, reports and school-wide staff schedules, ensure that the Full Parents’ evening permission is granted as per the diagram on the right
For Teacher-level users who need access only to their own class, add and view their own notes to parents and print their own appointment schedule, allocate the Teacher-only Parents’ evening teacher access permission as per the diagram on the right
Click OK
Link the Teacher to a Staff account (see image on right)
Do not link Admin staff to a Staff account - this will result in limited access on the Admin site and prevent the option to set up meetings
Click on OK, Yes, Close
Understanding Parents' Evening Permissions
In Configuration, User configuration, User group - the Parents’ evening group is selected:
