Useful Information

There are various imports that can be automated, depending on your school's requirements and the modules you are licensed for

Set the Wonde Import Types

Ensure you have first completed the section Set the Pupil and Staff IDs

Review the Import types below to see which ones are relevant to your school, then:

  1. In SCO, click on the Configuration tab
  2. Click on Import from external system
  3. Click on Import configuration
  4. Change CSV file to Wonde Dynamic Link for the required Import types
    Note that Import type 'Pupil' should always be selected

Fields from SIMS

Notes

Pupil*

Surname, Forename, Date of birth, Pupil ID, Address, Registration Group, Year Group, Free School Meal Eligibility, Dietary Needs, Parental Salutation, Gender, Pupil Premium Eligibility

Before importing this data, ensure you have first completed the section Set the Pupil and Staff IDs

Staff*

Surname, Forename, Class (if marked as a Teacher in SIMS)

Before importing this data, ensure you have first completed the section Set the Pupil and Staff IDs

Trip

-

Functionality not available with the Dynamic Link to SIMS.net

Cohort

All of the Pupil fields above plus Subject (e.g. Geography) and Cohort (e.g. Set8A)

Importing Cohorts may impact the performance of the SCO system considerably due to the large amount of data imported

Attendance

PupilID, Attendance Code, Session.

Photo


Photos will show on the Income tab when a pupil is selected and in the Classroom Edition.

Pupil contacts

Pupil ID, Contact’s First Name Contact’s Last Name, Contact ID, Contact’s Phone Number, Contact’s Mobile Number, Contact’s Priority, Contact’s Email Address

Before importing this data, ensure you have first completed the section Set the Pupil and Staff IDs.

A Pupil import should be carried out prior to the Pupil contact import

Staff contacts

Staff ID, Preferred Forename, Preferred Surname, Main Home Telephone, Main Mobile Number, Email Address

A Staff import should be carried out prior to the Staff contact import

Leavers

PupilID, Leaving date
