Change meal or session prices to take effect from today or a date in the past
If you need to change meal or session prices to take effect from today or a date before today, carry out the following:
Step 1: Check the Settings
- Click on the Configuration tab
- Select System options
- Select the Dinners/Extended day tab
- At the bottom ensure Allow meal price changes for dates before today is ticked
- Click on Done
Step 2: Change the Meal or Session Prices
- Click on the Dinners or Extended Day tab
- Click on Settings... (top right)
- Click on Meal or Session codes
- Click on Advanced price config (bottom right)
- Select the meal or session code from the drop down
- Click on Add new to add a new price (do not change an existing meal price or this will affect meals already entered in SCO)
- In the top row, enter the date the new price is effective From (this can be backdated if required)
- Leave the To date blank
- Enter the first Price (pupil price) and then the Price w/VAT (adult price)
- Repeat for other meal or session codes as required
- Click on Done
- Restart Schools Cash Office to update the meal or session prices and any current balances.
Step 3: Update the Settings
- Click on the Configuration tab
- Select System options
- Select the Dinners/Extended day tab
- At the bottom untick Allow meal price changes for dates before today
- Click on Done
