Send an Email or Text Message from SCOPAY

P

Please note that we are currently aware of an issue with selecting to send just an Email or Text from Apple Devices.
If you are using a Mac you can select to send an email or text using the Google Chrome Browser.

  1. Login into the SCOPAY Admin Site www.scopay.com/UserWebapp with your SCO email address and password

  2. Click on the Communications tab

  3. Click on Create a message

  4. Click on Select accounts to choose the recipients (choose from Name, Class, Year, Cohort, Gender, Trips)

  5. For an Email message (if you don't wish to send an Email message, deselect this option):

    1. Enter the Subject

    2. Enter the Message (format the message if required)

    3. Clip the paperclip to add any Attachments

    4. Select the required Contact priority or leave as Priority 1 only

  6. For a Text message (if you don't wish to send a Text message, deselect this option):

    1. Enter the Message (format the message if required)
(note that a warning message will be displayed if your Text message exceeds 150 characters.  Messages of more than 150 characters may be charged as two texts)

    2. Select the required Contact priority or leave as Priority 1 only

  7. Click Send message

  8. The message will be sent and will display in the Message history log

Note: if both Email and Text messages are created, the recipient will receive either an email or a text message (not both) depending on the default import setting specified.
If unchanged during setup, the default import setting is that the message will be sent by Text to all contacts with a mobile telephone number in SCO. An email will only be sent to contacts without mobile telephone numbers in SCO.
If you prefer Email to be the default option, you can check and change the priority of these settings through Communication configuration settings (see section On import default to).
