2. If parents already have a SCOPAY account, can they

can

use their existing login details?

Yes - both the scopay.com website and the SCOPAY App share login details, so provided a parent has registered they can access the site via either route.

New parents can register either through www.scopay.com or via the SCOPAY App.

3. Do the Push Notifications for Parental Alerts cost the school?

No, push notifications and emails are free for parents to receive.

The parental alerts functionality comes as standard for all SCOPAY users. For more information on parental alerts, click here.

Yes, you can log in on multiple devices.

6

5. Can parents use the App to pay for more than one child?

Yes, parents can link more than one child to their SCOPAY account, even if they are at different schools.  Each child will be issued with an individual link or QR code by their school.

For steps on how to generate a second link code for a child, please click here.

When paying, parents will need to complete the checkout process twice if pupils are at different schools since payments have to be processed to each school separately.

78. Do parents see payment

6. Can parents book Meals/Sessions online?

Not at present.  This feature will form part of our Phase 2 functionality which we are currently scoping with a number of pilot sites.

Yes, the parent can view the History of all purchases made online, or made in school using cash or cheque.

9If you are interested in getting involved then please do let us know.
11.

8. Can schools tell if parents are using the App?

Unfortunately not – neither the App store nor Google Play allows us to view details of users who have downloaded the App.

Whilst the Registered online tick box on the Accounts tab in SCO indicates that the pupils have a registered online user, we cannot distinguish between parents who use the App or SCOPAY.com (or both).

10. How can we become part of Tucasi’s Pilot Testing in the future or help with future development?

We are always happy to have schools volunteer to be part of our development workshops or pilot trials both for the Mobile App and SCO development.

12.

9. Does the App save card details?

The App itself doesn’t store card details – however if parents use functionality such as Google Play then card details can be dropped straight into the payment fields.

Alternatively, schools who use Worldpay as the payment gateway are able to swap to use an alternative Worldpay Account Futurepay.
Futurepay is an alternative type of account that Worldpay are able to provide to schools (not available to schools receiving payments via a Local Authority Gateway).
A Futurepay account allows a parent to store card details making the checkout process a simple one click process to complete.
Additional functionality also allows parents to set up regularly recurring payments  eg 10 further payments of £10 each week starting today for Dinner Money
or 5 further monthly payments of £50 for music lessons style of configuration.

If you would like further information on transferring your Worldpay account to be a Worldpay Futurepay account then please contact us.

Yes - parents can save their card details in the app.

10. How do we make items available in the App?

The App is an alternative way of accessing items already visible to SCOPAY.com so no additional set up is required in school.

Simply set the items as you currently do as Available online and any other elements configured as you would for display on SCOPAY.com   (eg  set descriptions via www.scopay.com/UserWebapp  if you want parents to view additional information), set minimum top up amounts for trips, dinners or clubs through SCO, set trip date(s),

use Trip Tick Boxes if you want options to display to parents (and select either read only or editable as required)

create Forms for parents to give consent

11. How do we change the

school

School Contact

information 14

Information the App displays?

This information is picked up from the current SCOPAY.com configuration – most likely configured when you first took on SCO or Online Payments.

Currently, you’ll need to let us know if you want this information updating – but for future we hope to add in some new configuration options in SCO to allow schools to be more self-sufficient.

To change the information see Site Configuration - SCOPAY Admin Site.

12. Can Staff use the Mobile App for payments?

Yes – anyone who currently uses SCOPAY.com can use their login details for the App to pay for dinners, trips, clubs, or products that they are eligible for.

15

13. How is the order of items on the Products page decided – can we reorder it?

The products listing mirrors the order of items as they’re configured in SCO.  To update the order in SCO click on Configuration, Income configuration, Products.

Ensure the Product Groups list mirrors the order you wish to display online.

14. Why can't a parent view a Trip on the app?

A trip will only display on the mobile app if one of the following is true;

  • Trip is currently occurring

  • Trip is in the future

  • Trip has an outstanding amount

If a student has not been selected on a trip (left set of tick boxes) and the trip date has passed it won't show on the app but it will still be accessible via the website SCOPAY.com on a mobile web browser or PC.
