Useful Information

Inter-account debts are created when income and/or expenditure transactions are recorded across multiple bank accounts in SCO. In

the

the Banking

 screen

 screen, you will see these

as

as Unsettled debts pending.

These debts usually relate to transactions linked to

the

the School bank

 cost

cost centre. The School bank cost centre is used to hold funds deposited using the

pupil

pupil pre-payment account

 functionality

 functionality.
When required these funds can be transferred to other products such as Dinners, Extended Day, Uniform and Trips. However, any such products should be set up in the same bank account as the School bank, otherwise an inter-account debt will be created.

Note

that

that Petty Cash

 also

 also uses

the

the School bank

 cost

cost centre for banking purposes. If Petty Cash expenditure is made for a cost centre located in a different bank account to the School bank cost centre, an unsettled debt will occur.
